Mechanical Engineering Department
Department of Mechanical Engineering has a wide reputation in the surroundings for the
quality of teaching and research it offers. We have excellent laboratory facilities like the
largest & Ultra Modern CNC lab in north India including CNC Wire Cut Machine, EDM
Machine, Co-ordinate Measuring Machine, CNC Lathe Train Master, Vertical Machine
Centre & CAD Lab having SOLID WORKS – 2010 software with modern computer
clusters of Dell Company with latest configuration & a fully equipped workshop with a
lot of conventional machines. Our investment to only these labs is approx. Rs 3.5 crore.
Systematically designed curriculum, and dedicated faculty members make this
Department a dynamic place to study.
Keeping itself up to date with the latest developments and trends in the field and with a
dedicated faculty of highly qualified and experienced members in all streams of
mechanical engineering, the department consistently strives to provide world class
facilities for education and research. An interactive & cordial relationship is maintained
between the students and staff which enable the students to develop a sound foundation in
the stream in a conducive environment.
The Department is mainly supported by Applied Mechanics which caters subjects like,
Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics of Machinery, Engineering Mechanics
& drawing. It is also backed by the Central Workshop facilities for providing hands-on
training in the conventional machining and other traditional trades like Smithy, Forging,
Welding, Foundry and Pattern Making.
